About Jared

I am a NYC based contortionist and circus sideshow performer (Yep.. you read that right). Raised vegetarian and with a jaded palette, my obsession with fruit started when I was a kid. Anytime I saw a new fruit, I just had to try it. 

Eventually performing brought me to an incredible country famous for its exotic fruit, Malaysia. Here my little fascination with fruit got out of hand. Between shows I would race down to markets in Kuala Lumpur and try to find new fruits to try. I was faced with so many interesting things that I decided to document my findings and share them with the world. Now years later, I have reviewed hundreds of fruit in 25 different countries and I see no sign of ever stopping.
